The Kentucky Courts project consists of 38 units that include 18 “stacked” townhouses, 18 condominium flats, and 2 single three-story townhouses. Located in the District of Columbia, the townhouses face 14th Street, Kentucky Avenue and C Street, with the main entrance to the project located on C Street.

The mixed income community opened in 2004, replacing condemned public housing units. Abramson Properties combined contemporary structures with classic Victorian details to create a community that blends perfectly with the existing neighborhood. The homes have been dubbed the “hat houses” by local residents because of the overhanging turret roofs that look like hats or umbrellas.
